If you want to live a little, then your chilli isn't hot enough unless it’s bringing out your break-up-level tears and interval training-level sweats. A paper in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology found that having at least one chilli serving each day cuts your risks of stroke and of getting a heart attack. They looked at 22,000 Italian adults for eight years - those who ate chillies four times per week were 23% less likely to die young than those who avoided them.
